Severe disease: Usually when an angio shows multiple blockages that are complex and in multiple vessels they will reccomend bypass. Others cases would be left main coronary art dz. Multiple vessels and low ef especially in a diabetic. Each patient is a unique case and with improved technology more pts are going for stents that would have been sent to bypass in the past.
