Tics: Tics can be minor or major. The latter is generally if they interfere with daily activity or living. Medications can be helpful, but generally a specialist should evaluate to see if they are part of a larger diagnosis or independent. This answer will drive therapy. A primary physician can do the initial evaluation and make a necessary referral prior to medication or behavioral therapy.
