A member asked:

Is there a link between hemangiomas and factor v leiden mutations?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Both are very common and this is probably a coincidence. The factor v gene isn't part of the pathway by which new vessels form, and this speaks against there being any correlation. There are a few other genetic syndromes with distinctive hemangiomas, but factor v has not been linked to any.
