Refraction,eye shape: The ophthalmologist (you are seeing an ophthalmologist for your precious eyes-right?), will measure the eye power (refraction), determine the curvature of the front of the eye, and test whether the eye can safely wear a lens (eye illness, dryness, previous disease). Then a contact lens can be calculated and prescribed.
