Talk with MD: If an individual is diagnosed with gh deficiency, then hypopitiuitarism is a possible cause and in that case, the adrenal axis is ought to be looked at as a drop in cortisol level (i.E adrenal crisis) can ensue especially if thyroid replacement was started as part of hypopituitarism replacement therapy plan.

In general, nothing: Hgh tx does not involve the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, & should not produce adrenal suppression or increased risk for an adrenal crisis. The pre-treatment evaluation should have included a broader assessment of the patient's hormones and should have identified a possible acth deficiency. If such deficiency were present but unrecognized, there would in fact be risk of an adrenal crisis.
