Do you find that your depression gets worse during the holidays?

It can happen: People may become nostalgic for what advertisements suggest is "normal" for holidays: warmth, everybody getting along, plenty of favorite foods, nice music, nobody getting drunk or abusive . . . . Etc. But these ideals can hit a wall when the reality of family issues shows up. Disappointment, arguments, silent treatments, whatever behaviors wounded in the past, can do so again - adds up to sad.
