Can bell's palsy cause problems with eating/swallowing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: If you have problems with eating or swallowing, then another diagnosis needs to be considered. The facial nerve (which bell's palsy is a paralysis of) does not innervate the areas involved with eating or swallowing.
