A member asked:

Okay to mix diovan (valsartan) and methyldopa?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: However, one has to ask why is Methyldopa being used? If the person is pregnant or has the potential of becoming pregnant, they should not be on diovan (valsartan). Methyldopa is rarely used as an antihypertensive anymore, except when the hypertensive patient is also pregnant.
