A member asked:

What is worse lupus or rheumatoid arthritis?

Neither: Both lupus and rheumatoid arthritis are serious autoimmune illnesses that can range from mild to severe. They can effect other organs in the body, not just the joints. The long term complications of these illnesses can be minimized by seeking care from an experienced rheumatologist.

Both can be bad: As a whole rheumatoid arthritis attacks your joints and tendons but can be controlled medically in most patients. Lupus can affect the entire body more and is harder to control. If uncontrolled both are bad.
