Chanix and wellbutrin: think one or both may have (rare) blood lab abnormality side affects. what type and which one has less risk of this please?

Wellbutrin (bupropion): Wellbutrin (bupropion) has less side effects than chantix. My patients respond well with wellbutrin (bupropion). With chantix, there are more side effects such as: nightmares, strange dreams, as well as other abnormalities that require blood test monitoring.

Hematologic SE's: Wellbutrin has been associated with anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia as well as pancytopenia with unknown frequency. With Chantix, anemia is uncommon & may occur in 0.1% to 1% & Leukocytosis, V'ed platelets & thrombocytopenia are rare (<0.1%).
