Stye-antibiotics?: Usually none are required. Frequesnt warm compresses will bring stye to head & it will open & drain by itself. If it doesn't, see fp for topical antibiotic prescription.

It depends: Generally an antibiotic/steroid combination drop (or ointment) is prescribed for a stye such as tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) or maxitrol. Warm compresses also help.

Depends: A stye does not necessarily require antibiotics. If it is infected, many times, the surrounding skin is affected as well, and an oral antibiotic is required. If there is no pain, swelling or redness associated with the stye, it is not infected, and does not need antibiotics. In this case, sometimes, warm compresses may be used to reduce the stye.

Almost: Any antibiotic is good. Try hot compresses first.
