Reddening, stinging: Retinol is the fat soluble form of vitamin a found in anti-wrinkle skin creams. It attracts moisture, which increases water content of skin. It increases production of collagen and promotes cell division to reduces fine wrinkling, also helps pigmentation effects of too much sun. Side effects may include reddening of the skin and a mild stinging sensation, scaling and increased sun sensitivity.
