Depend: Probably for protection of the kidneys. Low dose would be a gold standard order. It could double for blpod pressure reduction if that were a problem but is used enen if blood pressure is normal.

Couple reasons: Quinapril could be given in diabetes for a couple reasons. It might be given if the patient has high blood pressure, but it could also be given to help protect the patient’s kidneys and nerves - something its drug class has been shown to do specifically in patients with diabetes.
