A member asked:

Is there such a thing as like a pmdd premenstrual symptom?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Pmdd is a cluster of symptoms that are experienced routinely at the end of each menstrual cycle. Symptoms can mimic depression, anxiety disorder or severe irritability. The symptoms resolve as each new cycle begins. Some of the ssri's (zoloft, paxil, (paroxetine) prozac) are fda approved for the treatment of pmdd.
