PMDD: Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (pmdd) is a condition where a woman has severe depression symptoms, irritability, and tension in the 5-10 days before menstruation. The symptoms of pmdd are more severe and debilitating than in premenstrual syndrome (pms). They usually remit when menstruation begins. Mood swings; panic attacks; trouble sleeping; feeling out of control, etc can be seen in pmdd.
