Yes: Depending on the overall success of managing your gestational diabetes, doctors sometimes recommend early delivery of the baby, especially if there is concern with the size of the baby or the mother's overall health. Gestational diabetes does not itself prevent the option of inducing labor.

Yes: Often women with gest diabetes need to be induced d/t poor diabetic control, large infant, or just because their high risk pregnancy is not allowed to go past their due date. Gdm patients are also monitored late in their pregnancies with nsts & afi checks; induced if any abnormalities are found. So usually, you have a higher risk of needing induction.
