Different mechanism: Hemorrhagic shock caused by lack of fluid in blood vessels (usually from bleeding), causes decreased heart function, lack of blood flow to organs. Septic shock in setting of blood borne infection, opens blood vessels, lose pressure and blood flow to organs; also decreases effective heart function.
