No cure: Epinephrine will block some of the acute inflammatory reactions and is therfore a temporary rescue to an allergic reaction. If this is not coupled with removal of the allergen and addition of longer acting anti-histamines or steroids, a delayed reaction with serious consequences can occur when the epi is metabolized and no longer present. The only cure is future avoidance of a known allergen.
