A member asked:

Extreme itching after an allergic reaction, how does epinephrine work to stop it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Does not: Epinephrine is not useful for itching, it is more for internal reactions such as bronchospasm. For severe itching oral ntihstamnies, cold compresses and oral prescription steroids if necessary. The cause of the allergy needs to be identified to avoid in the future.
