A member asked:

How does cyanide affect people eating almonds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Almonds don't matter: Cyanide is poisonous by itself, almonds have nothing to do with it. I have heard that one smells like almonds when poisoned with cyanide. Cyanide kills by blocking the subsance in the blood called hemoglobin from being able to carry oxygen.
