A member asked:

How are the lungs covered in pleura?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Two layers: Lungs are covered in two layers of pleura, visceral and parietal. Both the thin layers of connective tissue with flattened epithelial lining. There is a potential space between the two layers and normally there is a small amount amount of lubrication fluid between the layers.
