A member asked:

If i skip an occasional beat, is that a form of heart block?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: An atrial premature beat (pac) can be blocked and give you a "skip". This is a normal physiologic response and not something that is pathologic. It occurs when the premature beat occurs so soon after the previous beat that the electrical system is unable to carry the beat to the ventricles to give you a heart beat.
