could recurring seizures lead to death?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Michael Sinclair
37 years experience Family Medicine
Yes: During a seizure, patients sometimes inhale their own stomach contents. This can cause severe pneumonia and lead to death. Uncontrollable seizures can also lead to death.
