Where in the knee: It depends if it's inside the knee, the top of the knee, side of the knee or the back of the knee. The location in the back if the knee could be tennis knee with the medial head of the gastrocnemius, inside could be cartilage or ligaments, or the side of a knee could be bursitis. Your evaluation will help decide the location.
