Yes: While it is safe to breast feed you might consider monitoring the cues of your present baby to see if you can wean before the new baby comes along.Continued nurturing time with alternate feeds & increasing table feeds may help this. Be mindful that the newborn will need the feeds more & continuing to bf the older kid sets up a displacement issue you may want to avoid.

I agree that you may continue to nurse, and there are many benefits to nursing. Since your child is older than 12 months though a transition to whole milk is safe.
