A member asked:

What are the chances of surviving colorectal cancer surgery at 85?

It depends.: This depends on how extensive the surgery is and your state of health. If the disease is found to be minimally invasive and the surgery is minor, you should be all-right. If, however, the surgery is extensive, it could be hard for anyone. Similarly, if you are healthy, you can tolerate even major surgery, but if you're anemic and malnourished like many colorectal cancer patients, it can be hard.

Good: The risk is to age, but overall medical state. Heart and lungs most importantly.
