Hard to predict: Having someone who loves you can affect body image: what he or she says carries more weight than what others may say. However, many remain convinced they are what they thought they were before and that the loved one is just blinded by love.

So I go through periods where I want and try, to lose weight. Eventually I get to a point of noticable gains, feel really good about my progress, but then I feel guilty because I blame myself for letting global body image standards impact my view of myself. I'm right around 250-255lbs, and I'd love to get down to the 200 I was in college. But I don't want to admit that my body is somehow lacking if I don't get down to that weight. So I don't know how to handle it. Weight and mental health?
