A member asked:

What are symptoms of restrictive lung disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends upon stage.: Restrictive lung is not a disease per se. It is a condition that is the final common pathway of many diseases. Therefore it is difficult to say what the first symptoms might be. In early stages there may be no symptoms at all. When the underlying disease begins to affect lung tissue there may be a persistent cough and eventually shortness of breath.
