Thyroid: T4 is a measure of one form of thyroid hormone, which helps control metabolism. Tsh stands for thyroid stimulating hormone, which is made in the pituitary and helps control the level of thyroid hormone. If there is not enough thyroid hormone, you make more tsh; if there's too much, you make less.

T4 & TSH : Thyroid: T4 & TSH are blood tests to measure thyroid activities. Thyroid, a gland in the neck area responsible for body's metabolism. When T4 is high & TSH is low, have too much thyroid hormone (hyperactive gland or taking too much thyroid supplements). If T4 is low & TSH is high, not enough thyroid hormone (thyroid not functonning well or need more thyroid supplements).
