Not if controlled: As long as the hypertension is well controlled construction work is not contrindicated. A stress test on a good medical program before doing such work is often done.

Maybe: If your pressure is uncontrolled and heavy isometric man oeuvres during construction work can make them dangerously high. However if if BP is controlled there should be no problem.
