A member asked:

Can fibroadenoma be treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgery or watch: If fibroadenomas are small and not causing any trouble or interfering with the follow up of other suspicious lesions in the breast, they can just be left alone without further risk of problems. Otherwise, if they are very large or growing or causing deformity or pain, they can be removed by surgery (lumpectomy or excision biopsy).
