Smaller baby: Reduction in your oxygen level will reduce oxygen levels traveling to your baby through the placenta. This is why smokers have smaller babies since they have higher levels of carboxyhemoglobin than nonsmokers. This is also why we don't recommend strenuous aerobic exercise while pregnant. You should keep your heart rate below 125 while pregnant and exercising.
