Sooner the better: Contact dermatitis tends to worsen the longer it is allowed to persist; and the worse it is, the more potent the treatment will need to be, and the longer it will take to resolve. So the minute you know you have it, call your dermatologist. Tell the receptionist you have an urgent problem and you need to be worked in as soon as possible.
