Hi doctors..dermatology question. i have seborrheic dermatitis. is it safe to use something like selsun blue or tgel/tsal directly on my scalp..i am virtually bald, with no hair to act as a buffer. sometimes causes mild irritation. anything better?

Should be fine: These shampoos should be fine for someone with seborrheic dermatitis. However, if they are irritating, you can try to use them less often and alternate with a milder shampoo, such as a baby shampoo. If that doesn't work and you are still getting irritated and/or the dermatitis is persisting, please consider seeing your doctor or a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.
