Inpatient rehab: In the va system, inpatient blind rehab is 3-5 weeks, but is individualized. There are skill courses designed to help the blind achieve a realistic level of independence. These include: orientation and mobility, communication skills, activities of daily living, manual and visual skills, computer access training, social/recreational activities, and individual and group counseling meetings.
