A member asked:

What help does the vha have for veterans with low vision after combat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good programs: The va has comprehensive eye examinations available (ask for an ophthalmologist exam - not optometric) which can identify the source of low vision - eyeglass need, surface injury, blast injury, nerve damage, retinal damage, cortex damage. Programs of rehabilitation, low vision training, mobility, compensation , etc are all available.
