Yes: Check with your va and with the organization 'disabled american veterans' for help and support. Your local organizations for the blind and poorly sighted can also help.

American Legion: Call your local American Legion post. They will have access to all kinds of veterans groups and veteran support groups. Other resources you can try for blind veterans would be Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and also Veterans of Foreign Wars. They will have all kinds of additional resources for your use.
