Is it okay to let my kids watch unlimited tv?

Limited Only: In the 1950's educators saw television as the greatest learning tool since the invention of the printing press. History has proven otherwise. Quality tv programs exist for children, but children need more. They need time outside playing sports and games with other children. They need time to interact with family members. The list of activities is endless and unlimited tv is not on that list.

No: We suggest no more than 2 hours/day of combined TV /pleasure computer or video. Greater amounts are associated with increased childhood obesity and inattentive school behavior.
