A member asked:

What mental changes occur during preschool?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Self control: There are many, but here are two big changes: 1) preschoolers are gaining further confidence around long separations from parents, which usually requires that the child develop social skills, and the ability to integrate with friends and teachers; 2) learning to use competitive and aggressive feelings in a socially acceptable manner. Both of these require a mental capacity to reflect on feelings.
