What can cause nausea and vomiting in children after surgery?

See below: Post operative nausea and vomiting can occur in adults and children after surgery, and can be difficult to predict. It may be a person's sensitivity to the anesthesia medications, or sensitivity to post operative pain medications. Ask your surgeon or anesthesiologist for nausea preventative medications used before or during the anesthesia, or to prescribe nausea medication after surgery.
