A member asked:

Would power of attorney need to present my mom's medicare card at each doctor visit?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not needed at visit.: Simply presenting a medicare card at each visit for billing purposes does not require power of attorney if your mother is there as well. Having power of attorney though may be important when it comes to important health care decisions down the line. Talk to your mother about that decision.
