Yes: Most people are unaware that they have gingivitis . Especially if its in the early stages.

Yes: Gum disease is assymptomatic until the very late stages. The pain only begins when there are major problems. Better to get it taken care of in the early stages.

Yes: Usually early stages of gum disease have no symptoms. Often patients are unaware that they even have gum disease. Have your gums and cheek checked by your dentist.

YES!: Chronic gum disease is silent and painless until it is in it's final stages. While you might have bleeding gums (unless you smoke), your first symptom might be that your teeth are loose and by than it is to late- tooth lose is unavoidable! Your best defense is to have amazing home oral hygiene and visit your dentist at least twice a year !
