Yes: Generally there is coverage for critical care if you have medicare. Payment is linked to diagnoses and is fixed, so it doesn't cover all charges. However, patient's are only responsible for their deductibles.

Absolutely: If you need critical care because of a life-threatening medical illness, medicare will definitely cover you. If you ever think you need the icu, just go to the hospital and don't delay out of concern for medicare coverage.
