A 41-year-old member asked:
How long is the treatment with casodex (bicalutamide) and how often do i get hormone injections?

Medical Oncology 32 years experience
Varies: Hormone injections are given for prolonged periods, depending on the stage of prostate cancer. For metastatic stage, the shots are for life.
If before or after radiation, then usually 6 months-2 years.
Casodex is given and psa is monitored to decide.
