They occur in children from 4 months to about 6 years in 3 patterns. 1 -seizure and then parents become aware the child is ill 2. During a rapid rise in body temperature and 3. After the fever has been established for hours or a day. the seizures are generalized and usually brief. If brief, they do not cause damage.
