A member asked:

How effective is chondroitin for treating osteoarthritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unknown: Just like glucosamine, chondroitin has not shown to be significantly helpful in oa. Of course there are people who do take these supplements and believe they are helpful for oa. In my practice, I have not seen significant benefit but i see patients with fairly severe oa.
