Mace: Is tear gas phenacyl chloride dissolved in hydrocarbon solvent to make tear gas. This gas was replaced by less toxic chemical oleoresin capsicum in usa, although older form is still in use in other countries. P.S.: i know all this from a close friend who worked for smith-wesson co.
