Cooked or alive?: Escargot is a delicious appetizer. Usually cooked in butter, so one can just wipe with a napkin if an escargot falls onto his hands. For real live garden snails or slugs, if one touches a person, then "he's been slimed"! . . . . Actually, it's no big deal. He can just wipe the slimy spot off his skin, and wash up when he gets home.
