Yes, in a way . . .: Energy drinks are "high caffeine" drinks, usually flavored and contain sweeteners. Mixing the alcohol into the energy drink shouldn't create any new toxic drug, but one may end up drinking faster and drinking more because of the flavor and sweeteners. That means more alcohol and more caffeine end up inside the body, so one can get sick from excess caffeine, and drunk or dead from excess alcohol.

Yes: A major danger of these energy drinks is that many people think that you can drink more alcohol on them and not "feel" as drunk. This is absolutely untrue, and the companies who were essentially advertising this to younger people were forced to stop those ads years ago. These drinks are high dose caffeine with assorted useless stuff, no matter what their ads say. Combined with alcohol=bad combo.
