Menopause: A woman starts puberty with about 400, 000 eggs and has probably less than 100 at menopause. The frustrating thing though is pregnancy is unusual to rare beginning about 8 years from menopause. Eggs are lost consistently every few days (100's -1000's). If endometriosis is present, diminished ovarian reserve starts in the early to mid 30's instead of ~44 in normal women.
